{"id":610,"date":"2014-06-24T22:43:13","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T22:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.albertcirera.com\/?page_id=610"},"modified":"2024-02-08T08:57:59","modified_gmt":"2024-02-08T08:57:59","slug":"english","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.albertcirera.com\/?page_id=610","title":{"rendered":"English"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">SHORT<br \/>\n<strong>Albert Cirera<\/strong> is a mature, adventurous, risky, and brave musician who throughout his career has walked countless paths; he has always been driven by his need to explore new languages in the lands of classical jazz, free jazz or free improvisation, merely to prove that music is not a simple matter of style but of experience.<\/p>\n<p>Cirera is currently one of the most eclectic and exceptional Iberian saxophonists. He is strongly connected to Portugal, and Lisbon, a city where he lived for five years.<br \/>\n<strong>Albert Cirera<\/strong> leads his groups: <strong>AC and Kamarilla<\/strong>, <strong>AC i Tres Tambors<\/strong>, and <strong>CIREROT<\/strong>, a solo saxophone project. He also co-leads DUOT, with Ramon Prats; a partnership that started more than 15 years ago. In addition, he plays regularly with <em>Andy Moor, Abdul Moimeme, Olie Brice, Joao Lencastre, Agust\u00ed Ferndez, Valeria Miracapillo, Nicolas Field, Florian Stoffner, Johannes Nastesjo <\/em>and<em> Clara Lai.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">LONG<br \/>\n<strong>Albert Cirera<\/strong> is one of the most active and versatile Iberian musicians in Europe, on the free jazz and improvised music scene. In the past 10 years, he has participated in more than 50 recordings with musicians such as: <em>Andy Moor, Barry Guy, Olie Brice, Marcelo dos reis, Carlos Zingaro, Ramon Prats <\/em>or<em> Agust\u00ed Fernandez<\/em>. He has also performed at European festivals: Jazz em Agosto in Lisbon (Portugal), Jazz A L\u00faz in Luz-Saint-Sauveur (France) or Spontaneous Music Festival in Poznan (Polonia), and some international like Buenos Aires Jazz Festival (Argentina), not to mention different clubs in Europe, Argentina, Cuba, Russia, and Japan.<\/p>\n<p>He lived for 10 years in Barcelona, where he grew up as a musician, playing with <em>Agust\u00ed<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Fernandez, Ramon Prats, Vasco Trilla, N\u00faria Andorr\u00e0, David Mengual <\/em>or<em> Massa Kamaguchi<\/em>. After that, he moved to Lisbon, where he consolidated himself as what he is now: creative, inventive, and versatile musician. In Lisbon he played with <em>Joao Lencastre, Carlos Zingaro, Gabriel Ferrandini, Her\u00e2nin Faustino <\/em>and<em> Abdul Moaimem<\/em>. He finally spent 2 years in Copenhagen, during his master\u2019s at RMC. Blissfully played together with <em>Kresten Osgood, Henrik Olsson, Valeria Miracapillo, Hakon Berre <\/em>or<em> Aurelijus Uzameckis.<\/em> Other buddies on the stage are <em>Barry Guy, Andy Moor (the Ex), Joe Morris, Ernesto Rodrigues, Jordina Mill\u00e0, Nicolas Field, Florian Stoffner, Silvia Bologniesi, Hugo Antunes, Massa Kamaguchi, David Mengual, Paula Chocron,\u00a0<\/em><em>Don Malfon, Witold Olszak, Nuno Rebelo, Rafal Mazur, Ferran Fages<\/em>, and many more.<\/p>\n<p>He lives a frantic life leading <strong>A.C. i Tres Tambors<\/strong> \u2013 2 albums released: \u201cEls encants\u201d (FSNT, 2012) and \u201cSuite Salada\u201d (Underpool, 2017). He is also, leader of <strong>A.C. i Kamarilla<\/strong>, with the album \u201cAquella Cosa\u201d (Underpool, 2022). And lastly, CIREROT, his solo saxophone project. In 2022 he launched a European Tours, with more than 30 concerts introducing \u201c\u00c2MAGO\u201d. For more than 15 years, uninterruptedly, with the drummer <em>Ramon Prats<\/em>, they carried the project <strong>DUOT<\/strong>. Nonetheless, he also plays in duo formation with other great musicians from Europe: <em>N. Field, F. Stoffner, W. Olesac, F.Fages<\/em>, among others. Additionally, he participates in projects of other musicians: <strong>Joao Lencastres Comunion, Fragoso Quinteto, Fail Better <\/strong>or<strong> Dissection Room<\/strong> in Portugal; <strong>Granular Bastards <\/strong>or<strong> The Moms<\/strong>, in Denmark, and <strong>Agust\u00ed Fernandez L\u00edquid Trio\/Quintet<\/strong> and<strong> Clara Lai Quartet<\/strong>, in Catalonia. <strong>Albert Cirera<\/strong> interests goes further and participates in interdisciplinary performances: in the recent years, Cirera has performed with dancers <em>Jenny Nocedo<\/em> (Cuba), <em>Juliette Louste<\/em> (Islandia), <em>Tura Gomez Coll <\/em>or<em> Sonia Sanchez<\/em>; the painters <em>Antoni Carn\u00e9 <\/em>and<em> Xavier Gabriel,<\/em> or the visual artist <em>Artur Tort<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To round it all up, <strong>Albert Cirera<\/strong> is an active organizer of \u201cL\u2019Estival de Jazz d\u2019Igualada\u201d, the \u201cCicle Cuir de M\u00fasiques Inclassificables\u201d, both festivals in Igualada, where he currently lives.
